Happy Birthday to King Sunny Ade, Nigeria's music legend

Nigeria's music legend King Sunny Ade has turned 70 years old! I remember meeting him once in Ikeja, Lagos. He was so humble i almost did not recognize him. I'm usually never star struck, but on this occasion i was really struck. Didn't even know what to say!




I finally recovered, walked up to him and said hi. He responded and we chatted for some seconds i recall. I enjoyed his music while growing up, especially Nigeriya ni ti gbo gbo wa ni..., Happy Birthday Sir, continue to age gracefully.
